Sawubona

So we just finished the first day of classes, and our second day at the African Enterprise. Overwhelmed would be a good way to described my feelings right now. Typical of the first day of a new semester. However, I think when adding being in a new place surrounded by nothing familiar...yeah that adds some stress :-)
We just finished a group discussion on what we saw in Soweto (the township we visited) and at the apartheid museum. It was quite intense. Points were brought up about how people saw poor people as people just like us. It's hard to explain an entire discussion in one blog. However, I do understand. As I said before, seeing things like we see here...just makes you see yourself in a different perspective. It already has begun to change my worldview and it hasn't even been a week.
We met our nursing instructors today. They are amazing! One of them offered to take us to her farm :-). We made our first mall run today. We got hairdryers and straighteners (ones from the states dont work). I also bought a pair of slippers for about 2 dollars, a diet coke, and tupperware containers (3 for 3 dollars) to organize the room. It's amazing the little things that make you so happy here :-).
We also had our first Zulu class today...SO hard but SO fun :-) Loving it already :-)
Time to get ready for bed! Love you all! Please pray for our stress levels, and that we can continue to focus on God's purpose for us being here!
P.S. Sawubona means "hello" or literally I see you
